Common Sync Problems

Sync Not Starting

Symptoms:

  • Sync remains in "pending" state
  • No records syncing

Causes:

  • NetSuite connection issue
  • Invalid credentials
  • SuiteBundle not active

Resolution:

  1. Test NetSuite connection
  2. Verify TBA credentials
  3. Check SuiteBundle status in NetSuite

Sync Failing Mid-Process

Symptoms:

  • Sync starts but fails
  • Partial data synced

Causes:

  • NetSuite timeout
  • Permission error on specific records
  • Data validation error

Resolution:

  1. Check sync logs for specific error
  2. Reduce batch size
  3. Review record-level errors

Records Not Appearing

Symptoms:

  • Sync completes but records missing
  • Expected data not visible

Causes:

  • Record type not enabled
  • Field mapping issue
  • Filter excluding records

Resolution:

  1. Verify record type is enabled
  2. Check sync configuration
  3. Review any active filters

Slow Sync Performance

Symptoms:

  • Sync takes much longer than expected
  • Timeouts

Causes:

  • Large data volume
  • Complex saved search
  • Network issues

Resolution:

  1. Use incremental sync
  2. Optimize saved search
  3. Contact support for large syncs

Prevention

  • Monitor sync health regularly
  • Set up failure alerts
  • Use appropriate schedules
  • Keep SuiteBundle updated
