Overview
SuitePortal uses role-based access control (RBAC) to manage what users can see and do.
Users
A user represents an individual who can log in to SuitePortal.
User Properties
- Email (unique identifier)
- Name
- Organization membership(s)
- Role(s) within each organization
Roles
Roles define a set of permissions. Built-in roles include:
| Role | Description | Typical Use |
|---|---|---|
| Admin | Full access to tenant | Internal administrators |
| Member | Standard portal access | Regular users |
| Viewer | Read-only access | Limited access users |
Permissions
Permissions control specific actions:
read:transactions— View transaction dataread:entities— View entity datamanage:users— Invite and manage usersmanage:settings— Configure organization settings
Assignment
User → Organization → Role → PermissionsA user can have different roles in different organizations.
