Common Missing Data Issues

Records Not Synced

Symptoms:

  • NetSuite records not appearing
  • Outdated data showing

Causes:

  • Sync not run
  • Sync failed
  • Record type not enabled

Resolution:

  1. Check last sync time
  2. Review sync status/errors
  3. Verify record type is enabled
  4. Run manual sync

Customer Cannot See Their Invoices

Symptoms:

  • Customer reports missing invoices
  • Some invoices visible, others not

Causes:

  • Entity linking issue
  • Invoice not synced
  • Organization mismatch

Resolution:

  1. Verify customer entity is linked to organization
  2. Check if invoice synced
  3. Verify invoice entity matches organization

Custom Fields Not Appearing

Symptoms:

  • Custom NetSuite fields empty
  • Field mapping configured but no data

Causes:

  • Field mapping incorrect
  • Field ID wrong
  • Transform error

Resolution:

  1. Verify field ID in NetSuite
  2. Check field mapping configuration
  3. Test with sample record
  4. Review sync logs for errors

Line Items Missing

Symptoms:

  • Transaction shows but no line items
  • Item details empty

Causes:

  • Line items not enabled
  • Item record type not synced
  • Mapping issue

Resolution:

  1. Verify line items enabled in sync config
  2. Sync Item records
  3. Check item linking

Prevention

  • Verify configuration after setup
  • Test with sample records
  • Monitor sync health
  • Set up alerts for sync failures
