Vendors

Vendors are entity records synced from NetSuite representing suppliers and service providers you work with.

Data Source

Vendor data is synced one-way from NetSuite. To create or edit vendors, make changes in NetSuite and wait for the next sync.

Vendor Portal Organizations

When a vendor is synced, SuitePortal can automatically create a vendor organization linked to that record:

PropertyValue
portalTypevendor
parentTenant organization ID
vendorIdNetSuite vendor internal ID

Vendor organizations allow the vendor's contacts to log in and view their own purchase orders with row-level security.

Flagging Vendors for Sync

In NetSuite, check the custentity_sp_flag checkbox on vendor records to include them in syncs.

From a vendor record, you can view:

  • Purchase orders where entity = vendor internal ID
  • Contacts where company = vendor internal ID
